Smartline - A new vision for health and housing

  • Smartline. A new Vision for Health & Housing St Austell, Conference Centre Saint Austell, England, PL25 4FD United Kingdom (map)

The ground-breaking Smartline Project is holding a conference to present key findings and a range of innovative projects from subject specialists and Cornish enterprises that focuses on technology, community and housing to improve health and wellbeing.

We'd like to invite you to join us at our conference ‘Smartline - A new vision for health and housing’ on Wednesday 16th November 2022 from 9.30am – 3.30pm at the St Austell Conference Centre in St. Austell either in-person or online.

The conference pulls together researchers, organisations and businesses to review key findings from the Smartline project to understand the different challenges people face linked to health and wellbeing, and review how Cornish SMEs and Smartline research has responded to these problems.

The relevance of Smartline research is well timed to discuss how digital technology can improve daily life and improve wellbeing in a period where the pandemic took us online, kept us apart and built communities, and where fuel poverty and a national housing crisis impacts communities throughout Cornwall and the Isle of Scilly.

During this free one day conference you will hear

  • How our enterprise support has helped stimulate innovation in health & wellbeing, along with enterprises sharing how the support received from Smartline has impacted their business

  • from our researchers who have been exploring the role of technology in the home can create healthy homes and help residents live happier and healthier lives

  • about our community development activities that has been building stronger and more connected communities

  • from our researchers who have been exploring how to improve digital inclusion looking at the digital readiness, overcoming barriers and adoption of technology.
