Smart House, Health and Wellbeing

This theme will investigate the linkages between housing, health and wellbeing by use of the data from sensors and regular surveys as to the health and wellbeing of residents. This will include:

  • Examination of impact of energy efficiency/heating on respiratory health; and
  • Use of wearables to estimate activity levels and impact on health and housing impacts;
  • Examination of health impacts for particular group(s) of technology interventions in
    SMARTLINE – in mini-projects that are yet to be designed
